As my grandmother nourishes the children of Adet in northern Ethiopia with proper education, the problems of overpopulation and inadequate sanitation are highlighted. Adet is a small village in Tegede, Gondor, Ethiopia, with a population of 21,000 as of 2005. My grandmother realized that these children deserve to have a proper education like anyone else, which prompted her to create a school in the town. The problem that surfaced was the school's overpopulation, as more children were enrolling than there were available class sizes. Additionally, the school needed to provide its students with water and a proper place to relieve themselves. By raising these funds, I hope to help my grandmother provide quality education and essential resources to every student.
